Defrag v. Art

I do a lot of work with videos and Photoshop. I know these large files are what slow down my computer. I know I should run a disk defragmentation scan, but it takes so long. Is there any program that just defrags a few files? And if so, could I schedule it to run every night once I’m finished with the computer?

I checked this article and got some good info, but I’d love to hear your opinion too!
